The preventive philosophy involves a broad approach, taking into account several factors that contribute to avoiding tooth decay and periodontal disease.
A complete ANAMNESIS (medical questionnaire) is carried out during the first consultation, in which, through the patient's medical history, it is possible to detect information about systemic diseases (diabetes, heart disease, for example) that influence the health of the oral cavity and thus carry out individualized treatments without risks to the patient. In addition, it is extremely important to know the patient's type of diet, oral hygiene habits, whether they are a smoker, in short, analyzing the patient in a general way.
Treatment in the oral cavity consists of brushing and flossing techniques, analysis of the bacterial plaque index, prophylaxis (removal of bacterial plaque), mechanical cleaning with ultrasound (tartar removal), bicarbonate jet, application of fluoride, application of occlusal sealant (film that prevents food from sticking) and crown polishing.

Dr. William Frossard
Dr. William Frossard is an Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthetics at the State University of Rio de Janeiro. He coordinated the Postgraduate Course in Clinical Dental Prosthetics for 25 years at UERJ and currently coordinates the Postgraduate Course in Prosthetics at PUC RJ.
Dr. Rafael Frossard
Dr. Rafael Frossard graduated in Dentistry from Unigranrio University in 2017. He is currently a professor of the Specialization Course in Dental Prosthetics at IOPUC, RJ. He holds a Specialist title in Implantology from ABO Campinas and a Postgraduate degree in Aesthetic Dentistry from Senac São Paulo.
